made, and assembled by members of the guild.
Applique shapes in the blocks and borders are fused

whole is machine quilted.
The pattern and fabric of "Ocean Dreams", was
designed by Jason Yenter, of In the Beginning, and
the quilt was donated by Susan Kappelman, member
and Quilt Show Chair for 2017.  It will be on display
at our General Meetings and the drawing for a
winner will be held on December 14, 2017.  Tickets
(and Photo Postcards) are always available at the
Opportunity Quilt table, and are also available by

QBS 2018 Opportunity Quilt - "Fractured Fiesta"
Opportunity Quilt 2018 - “Fractured Fiesta” -
is 75” x 88” - and it’s design was inspired by
Ruth Smalley’s quilt “Fragmentary Rhythm II”
(1993), as featured in the premier issue (#1)
of Art/Quilt Magazine in 1994.

Our quilt was assembled in a similiar method by
Cathe HagermanBeizer, who had help from some
QBS members in the making of the blocks, and
was machine quilted by Susan Kappelman.

The drawing for the winner will be held
December 13, 2018.  Tickets will be available
at the January General Meeting, and
thereafter at the Opportunity Quilt table or
by contacting Cathe by phone or email, as
listed in the membership roster for 2018.
