INTRAGUILD
Intraguild coordinates many activities within the guild.
Monthly Raffle
Each month we sell tickets, raffling of many nice prizes. Tickets are 3 for $1.00.
All monies go into the general fund.
Special Raffles
On occasion we have items donated for a raffle to raise funds for the guild. In the
past we have had the "Jim Shore" Seasonal angels, a hand beaded needle case and a
hand painted Christmas sign.
Sew So Late
Three (3) Saturday nights a month we have an evening of sewing, food and friendship.
These evenings begin at 5:00 pm and go an till we are ready to call it an evening or
12:00 midnight. Our local shops have generously made their classroom space available
for our use.

Retreat
Every fall we have our annual quilting retreat. This is usually 3-4 days where we
have the opportunity to spend unlimited time sewing. We usually have a mystery quilt
that you can participate in or you may bring your own projects to work on. We also
have other fun activities to promote fellowship among the participants.
Secret Pal
Secret Pal is a fun way to make a new friend and get to know a fellow quilter. After
filling out a profile it is given to a quilter and you are assigned a profile of another
quilter. Then every month you give your Secret Pal a gift according to the answers on
their profile and another quilter will give to you....ANONOMOUSLY.....of course.
After a time, currently 8 months, Secret Pals are revealed at a meeting and thank
you gifts exchanged.
Guild Basket
Guild basket carries our QBS logo items. Currently we have:

Project Boxes (pizza)
Logo Paper Pieced Patterns
T-shirts
Show and Tell
At each meeting we invite members to show-off their quilts and give a brief
description or story about their items.
Other Quilting Activities
We sometimes have other activities at the discretion of the Intraguild Chairman.
These have included in the past, Round Robins, Block Exchanges, Challenges, Block of
the Month, Pot Holder Exchange, etc.
| NICKELS AND/OR NOODLES EXCHANGE QBS will have a Nickels (5” squares) and Noodles (2.5” strips) exchange throughout 2008. You can exchange either Nickels or Noodles or BOTH! Participation each month is optional - sit out any month that you choose – but you just might regret it! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NICKELS HAVE CHANGED SLIGHTLY! NOODLES • 14 strips (2.5” wide by width of fabric) will be exchanged each month • Select your fabric according the theme of the month (see below) o The 14 strips can come from one fabric or many – it’s your choice o Please pre-wash the fabric o One yard of fabric will yield 14 of these 2.5” strips o Use 100% cotton fabric of good quality • Fold each strip in fourths • Crisscross the strips (i.e., lay them perpendicularly) for ease of swapping • Get a plastic zip-top bag and label it with your name and phone number • Put the 14 crisscrossed Noodle Strips into the bag • Please leave your bag in the designated Noodle Strip Basket at the beginning of the meeting. • Please pick up your bag at the following meeting. • Have fun!!! NICKELS • 25 pairs of 5” squares (a total of 50 squares) will be exchanged each month • Select your fabric according the theme of the month (see below) o The 25 Nickel Pairs can come from one fabric or many – it’s your choice o Please pre-wash the fabric o Please cut off the selvedges o One yard of fabric will yield 28 pairs of 5” squares (56 squares) o One fat quarter will yield 6 pairs of 5” squares (12 squares) o Use 100% cotton fabric of good quality • Fold each pair of 5” squares in half • Crisscross the pairs (i.e., lay them perpendicularly) for ease of swapping • Get a plastic zip-top bag and label it with your name and phone number • Put the 25 crisscrossed Nickel Pairs into the bag • Please leave your bag in the designated Nickel Square Basket at the beginning of the meeting. • Please pick up your bag at the following meeting. • Have fun!!! January – your choice February – reds March – greens April – pastels May – florals June – blues July – patriotic August – lights September – darks October – fall colors November – light neutrals December – your choice If you forget to pick up your bag, it will be kept safely for you. Just pick it up the following month. |
